Housekeeping operations
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and pool areas after cleaning to ensure quality standards.
- Run sold-room reports, verify room status, identify discrepant rooms, prioritize cleaning, and update departing-room status.
- Document and resolve room-status issues with the Front Desk.
- Prepare and communicate room-assignment changes, share shift issues, and complete required paperwork.
- Assist housekeeping management with daily activities and coordinate with Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
Team and guest support
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Follow company, safety, and security policies; report maintenance problems, hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training.
- Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and meet guest-service standards.
- Communicate professionally, build positive working relationships, and respond to guest and employee concerns.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
- No license or certification is specified.
Physical and work requirements
- Move objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance and heavier objects with assistance; push or pull loaded carts over uneven surfaces.
- Stand, walk, sit, or kneel for extended periods and perform bending, twisting, reaching, and other physical tasks during a shift.
- Use computers or point-of-sale systems and read and verify information in different formats.
