Respond to special banquet event arrangements and maintain service and quality standards.
Banquet setup and service
- Set up banquet rooms and areas, including furniture and equipment, and keep them clean.
- Inspect table settings for cleanliness, neatness, and compliance with group requirements and company standards; resolve problems.
- Record pertinent information in the department logbook.
- Communicate with guests, employees, and departments to meet guest needs.
Team and workplace duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Inspect staff grooming and attire and correct deficiencies; support positive working relationships and team goals.
- Follow company, safety, and security policies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions and complete safety training.
- Welcome guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist people with disabilities, and communicate professionally.
- Maintain confidentiality, protect company assets, and meet quality standards.
- The role involves extended standing, sitting, or walking; lifting objects up to 50 pounds independently and over 75 pounds with assistance; and bending, reaching, and moving across uneven surfaces and stairs.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
- No license or certification is specified.
