Role overview

Student services

• Develop long- and short-term intervention plans and performance objectives for referred students based on curriculum, needs, strengths, diversity, and life experiences.
• Conduct Functional Behavioral Analyses.
• Provide consultations or counseling to students and families when necessary.
• Participate in due process proceedings when necessary.

Student attendance and discipline

• Record lateness and absences before the end of the first period after contacting parents for reasons.
• Monitor classrooms, address late arrivals and disruptive behavior, and refer serious offenses for further intervention.
• Keep records of infractions, inform the SMC when further action is needed, and notify parents about disciplinary measures.
• Resolve minor issues, arrange detention invigilation, and inform students about detentions.
• Meet daily with the SMC and AQC about offenses and compare data entries with discipline sheets.
• Ensure students leave classrooms and line up for buses; check safety during transportation.

Teacher and staff attendance

• Report listed teacher lateness, classroom conduct, and other staff offenses to the School Director.
• Check cover plans with the AQC and confirm classes are covered by assigned teachers when teachers are absent.

Ideal requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Sociology.
• Student management background and ability to ensure student discipline.
• Serious demeanor; excellent organization and planning skills.
• Professional behavior, ethical conduct, communication skills, and ability to work within a team.

Employment requirements

• Meet applicable country and local education and certification requirements, reference checks, and criminal background checks.

School setting

• The described work involves classroom monitoring, student supervision, and school transportation safety at the Sharjah school.
