Job purpose
Support students' academic success and help them reach their potential by implementing the SABIS curriculum, philosophy, and teaching methods.
Teaching and student support
- Teach assigned classes using provided lesson plans and develop plans from pacing charts when needed.
- Apply the SABIS Point System to create an environment conducive to learning.
- Mark subject examinations according to departmental schedules and materials; proctor exams and manage the testing environment.
- Discuss academic and disciplinary concerns with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department as needed.
- Guide and motivate lower-performing students and support preparation for external exams using the planned revision schedule.
School duties and development
- Assist with testing students, substitute teaching, organizing lunches and buses, crowd and traffic control, and other administrative tasks.
- Prepare and participate in student-life activities and events with the Student Life Coordinator.
- Attend management-requested training and perform related tasks or projects delegated by school management.
Ideal requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- English proficiency and at least one year of teaching experience.
- Accountability, ownership, professional and ethical conduct, and ability to deliver results.
- Continuous learning, job knowledge, technical skills, teamwork, and communication.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to manage time and priorities.
