Implement the SABIS curriculum and philosophy to support students’ success and help them reach their full potential.
The role is with The International School of Choueifat, Ajman.
Teaching and student support
- Teach assigned classes using provided lesson plans and SABIS teaching methods; develop plans from pacing charts when needed.
- Mark subject exams according to departmental schedules and materials, and proctor exams while maintaining a suitable test environment.
- Apply the SABIS Point System to support a classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Discuss student discipline and performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department as needed.
- Guide and motivate academically low-performing students; prepare for external exams using previous exams and scheduled revision where applicable.
School duties and training
- Assist with testing students, substituting for absent teachers, organizing lunches and buses, traffic control, and other assigned administrative duties.
- Prepare and participate in student-life activities in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator.
- Attend requested training to strengthen knowledge of the SABIS system and student performance; perform other delegated related tasks.
Ideal requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related subject matter or equivalent.
- English proficiency and at least one year of teaching experience.
- Professional behavior, ethical conduct, results delivery, continuous improvement, accountability, ownership, and excellent communication skills.
