Manage daily store operations, receiving, storage, issuing, and inventory control in a hospitality setting.
Responsibilities
- Receive and verify goods against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Inspect incoming quantity, quality, expiry dates, and condition.
- Store food, beverages, packaging, cleaning materials, and supplies appropriately.
- Use FIFO/FEFO stock rotation and issue stock against approved requisitions.
- Maintain records of stock receipts, issues, transfers, and returns.
- Count stock, report discrepancies, monitor levels, and notify management about replenishment.
- Report damaged, expired, slow-moving, or excess stock.
- Maintain store hygiene and suitable storage temperatures for perishable goods.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Kitchen, Operations, and Finance.
- Assist with periodic counts and reports; document and authorize stock movements.
- Follow company policies, HACCP, food safety, and health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- 0–2 years of relevant Storekeeper experience in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, or FMCG.
- The experience section states one year of Hospitality/FMCG experience is required.
- Food and beverage inventory management experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of FIFO/FEFO and stock control procedures.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and inventory/ERP systems.
- Good communication, organization, and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
