The Storekeeper maintains inventory accuracy, supports internal audits, and ensures materials are available to meet operational needs.
The role coordinates with Inventory Controllers and Expeditors on inventory management and HSE compliance.
Inventory management
- Perform continuous stock checks and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Monitor and reconcile differences between physical counts and system records; resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain records of stock aging and obsolete inventory.
Audits and compliance
- Coordinate and execute internal and external audits in line with regulatory and company standards.
- Prepare audit reports and ensure identified gaps are closed on time.
- Enforce safety and compliance standards for material handling.
Operational support and reporting
- Coordinate reservations and track purchase requisitions with the Expeditor to support timely material availability.
- Generate periodic reports on inventory accuracy, stock levels, and trends.
- Identify and report slow-moving or obsolete items; assist supervisors and inventory material planners as needed.
Knowledge and skills
- Knowledge of inventory management, stock cycle counting, and audit compliance.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail; proactive, honest, and solution-oriented approach.
Preferred qualifications
- Professional training is preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP ERP systems and cycle-counting methodologies is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred.
