The employer seeks a detail-oriented, experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and support accurate, timely financial reporting.
The role requires knowledge of accounting principles, UAE VAT regulations, and financial documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Handle daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and post journal entries, invoices, receipts, and payment transactions; manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform bank, customer, and supplier reconciliations and prepare monthly and periodic financial reports.
- Monitor income, expenses, payments, and collections; follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Maintain supporting documentation, verify supplier invoices, and ensure timely payment processing.
- Assist with UAE VAT preparation, filing, and compliance; coordinate with auditors and provide requested records and reports.
- Keep accounting records organized and confidential, follow company policies, and assist management with financial analysis and other accounting duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Good knowledge of UAE VAT and basic tax compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and accuracy, communication and organizational skills, and ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- UAE accounting experience is preferred; VAT filing and reconciliation experience is desired.
- Automotive, trading, logistics, or commercial vehicle business experience is advantageous.
- Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP/accounting platform knowledge is advantageous.
