Serve as the company's official wellsite representative during night operations on offshore jack-up rigs.
Ensure safety compliance, operational continuity, and effective shift handovers.
Responsibilities
- Represent the company at the wellsite during night shifts and ensure adherence to drilling programs and safety regulations.
- Document night operations, equipment usage, and incidents; hand over clearly to the Day Drilling Supervisor.
- Coordinate with wellsite teams and service contractors on logistics, operational procedures, and drilling program execution.
- Respond to operational challenges and emergencies with safe, effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate across departments and provide operational updates to the Head of Drilling.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Petroleum Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 10 years in the E&P industry as a Drilling Engineer and Supervisor.
- At least five years of hands-on experience as a Night Drilling Supervisor on offshore jack-up rigs.
- At least three years of relevant UAE oil and gas sector experience.
- Valid industry-required certifications for drilling, completion, and workover operations, such as IWCF or WELLSHARP.
- Excellent written and spoken English, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
Location and rotation
- Work location is offshore in Abu Dhabi.
- Rotation is 28 days on and 28 days off.
Working hours
- Offshore hours are 06:30–18:30, seven days per week.
- Onshore Abu Dhabi hours are 07:00–15:00, five days per week.
Benefits and probation
- Offshore allowance for days worked offshore; round-trip economy air ticket, single-status accommodation, medical insurance, and meals are provided.
- Probation period is six months.
