Store Manager

Role summary

People and customer experience

• Recruit, hire, develop, evaluate, discipline, and retain team members.
• Deliver customer service by greeting customers, uncovering needs, recommending products, and offering additional value.
• Create an inclusive, welcoming environment and a supportive experience for team members and customers.
• Plan daily team activities, lead staff, resolve conflicts, communicate company directives, and promote a safe workplace.

Store operations and business

• Learn sales and profit management and support store financial goals.
• Manage merchandise flow, inventory controls, price changes, inventory needs, resets, and presentation.
• Process invoices, schedules, orders, returns, purchase order reports, and team documentation.
• Train in sales forecasting, payroll analysis, budgeting, and audits of store processes.
• Coordinate sales events, support district operational needs, and participate in community involvement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A valid driver’s license is required if driving for company business.
• Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred; supervisory experience is preferred.
• A high school diploma or a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science or a business-related field is preferred; suitable combinations of education and experience will be considered.
• Must be able to read, write, and count accurately and access store areas and operate necessary store equipment.

Preferred knowledge and abilities

• Process information and merchandise through systems and a POS register.
• The posting lists retail experience, related industry knowledge, supervisory experience, and education as preferred qualifications.
