The role
The Store Manager oversees a UAE store's operations and team while working directly with customers.
The role focuses on understanding customer needs and recommending products, including to visitors who are only browsing.
Store operations and sales
- Run daily operations, including opening and closing, staffing, and floor supervision; own daily, weekly, and monthly sales results.
- Manage the sales floor to drive conversion, average transaction value, and units per transaction.
- Ensure stock availability, correct pricing, accurate stock handling, stock movement documentation, and loss prevention.
- Maintain store standards and visual merchandising; investigate and report stock discrepancies.
Customer experience and team
- Lead customer experience by example, handle VIP clients and complex situations, and ensure consistent luxury service.
- Follow up on customer feedback and take store-level action.
- Manage schedules, task allocation, priorities, performance check-ins, and performance issues; create a positive, high-energy environment.
Training and onboarding
- Ensure new joiners complete onboarding and understand store procedures.
- Support product updates and selling guidelines, reinforce service standards and sales techniques, and flag skill gaps and training needs to the Retail Manager.
Candidate requirements
- At least five years of relevant UAE retail-store management experience in luxury, watches, or jewelry.
- Outstanding English and Arabic communication skills.
- A relevant degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or a similar field is ideal.
- Relevant certification in sales, management, or project management from an accredited provider is ideal.
