Direct and assist stewards and support kitchen, banquet, and buffet operations at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha.
Stewarding and kitchen duties
- Direct and assist stewards to make cleanup more efficient.
- Monitor and document appropriate cleaning water temperatures and chemical levels.
- Assist with banquet plate-ups and provide kitchen staff with requested items and support.
- Transport items and maintain adequate stock for banquet and buffet service.
- Return cleaned items to their proper locations.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand-wash stations, pot-scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
Team and service duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Follow safety and security procedures, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and protection of company assets.
- Welcome guests, address service needs, communicate professionally, build working relationships, and uphold quality standards.
- Support team goals and perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications
- At least 2 years of related work experience is preferred.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- No license or certification is specified.
Schedule and work setting
- Full-time schedule.
- Located remotely: no; role is based at the Doha hotel.
- The role involves standing, walking, reaching, bending, and moving over uneven or slippery surfaces, and lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance.
