Role Overview
AWS Enterprise Support is seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager to support large enterprise customers.
The role provides technical leadership, customer advocacy, and guidance across cloud technology areas.
The position focuses on helping customers gain value from AWS and maintain healthy environments.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Build solutions, provide technical guidance, and advocate for enterprise customers.
- Keep AWS environments operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity.
- Develop trusted customer relationships and understand business needs and technical challenges.
- Lead technical discussions about incidents, trade-offs, and risk management.
- Consult with stakeholders ranging from developers to C-suite executives.
- Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers.
- Identify opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS.
- Provide detailed service disruption reviews, monthly and quarterly metrics, and pre-launch planning.
- Solve customer problems as workloads are migrated to the cloud.
Technology Areas
- Customer environments may include Compute, Storage, Database, Big Data, AI/ML, Networking, Serverless, and other AWS services.
- The role requires technical cloud strategy, solution planning, operational health management, and cloud migration expertise.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in design, implementation, operations, or consulting with distributed applications.
- 5+ years of technical engineering experience.
- Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment.
- Experience in an internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical lead.
