Role overview
The Senior Site Engineer – Architect manages a section of a construction project, provides technical advice, and supervises site crews and subcontractors.
The role is accountable for completing section work on schedule and within budget.
Project and team management
- Supervise the section team in line with project plans, company policies, and approved budgets.
- Support employee development and provide HR input on succession planning, career growth, and organizational structure.
- Manage team use of systems and ERP and oversee site equipment operations.
- Monitor labor availability and calculate daily productivity.
Construction delivery and reporting
- Support variation-order preparation and follow up on consultant approvals for designs, shop drawings, and material submittals.
- Coordinate project plans, milestones, and deliverables with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Oversee implementation of approved shop drawings and support consultant inspection requests.
- Prepare daily site reports and weekly section summaries and report operational and financial status.
- Manage delivery and closeout in line with contractual arrangements and financial objectives.
Safety and quality
- Conduct site inspections to ensure safety rules are followed and implement the company QHSE plan.
- Review drawings, specifications, and standards and ensure work follows approved project plans.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Civil Engineering.
- 10–15 years of construction-site experience.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.
- Proficiency in construction management.
- Knowledge of business advisory, QA/QC management, project management, and HSE management.
