About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers and the front-end team, replying to technical queries and attending customer meetings for technical clarifications.
• Support service centers and field service by reviewing inspection reports and recommending repair methods.
• Provide possible cause of failure based on component observations during inspection and recommend upgrades based on findings.
• Provide guidance for strip down, assembly, and setting for complex equipment in liaison with Experts.
• Assist with instructions for complex commissioning or troubleshooting.
• Conduct root cause failure analysis by gathering customer data, reviewing site data and reports, and preparing detailed reports with recommendations.
• Conduct on-site performance assessment using vibration analyzer, ultrasonic flow meter, and thermodynamic method, and analyze collected data.
• Liaise with Sulzer factories and overseas engineering teams when additional equipment information is required.
• Liaise with Sales, Tendering, and Engineering for development of repair and retrofit proposals.
• Conduct detail engineering for modification and upgrade of equipment, overseeing drawings, Bill of Material, and specifications.
• Conduct or supervise reverse engineering of components with conventional measuring tools and 3D scan.
• Support warranty teams and warranty claim investigations, including troubleshooting, root cause failure analysis, and technical reports.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in the rotating equipment industry.
• Experience in centrifugal pumps and turbomachinery for Water, Power, and Oil & Gas industries.
• Knowledge of industry processes, practices, and standards.
• Proficiency in rotating equipment design and selection software.
• Design, drafting, and CAD (2D/3D) skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Estimated travel time of 30% to 40% (national and international), with assignment periods from 1 day to 2 weeks.
• Communication and influencing, customer relationship management, time management, adaptability and initiative, attention to detail, technical and commercial acumen, and project management.
