Technical and engineering management
- Review IFC drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents.
- Coordinate shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Resolve technical issues and respond to RFIs.
- Ensure work follows approved drawings and specifications.
Project execution and site supervision
- Supervise site engineers and subcontractors, monitor progress and productivity, and sequence work to avoid delays.
- Coordinate civil, architectural, and MEP disciplines.
Planning and scheduling
- Assist with preparing and updating schedules and tracking progress against the baseline programme.
- Prepare two- and four-week look-ahead plans, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions.
Cost and commercial support
- Monitor material usage and site productivity; identify variations and prepare supporting documentation.
- Assist with interim payment applications and support commercial cost-control measures.
Quality and compliance
- Ensure QA/QC procedure compliance and coordinate inspections with consultants and clients.
- Ensure work meets project specifications and authority regulations; manage snagging and timely closeout.
Coordination and reporting
- Attend client and consultant meetings and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams and support the Construction or Project Manager in project delivery.
Qualifications and competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 7–12 years of construction, fit-out, or MEP project experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methodologies and good understanding of contracts and variation procedures.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera or MS Project, and MS Office.
- Technical and analytical ability, leadership and coordination, problem-solving, time management, commercial awareness, communication, and negotiation skills.
