The Senior Manager of Software Engineering will guide multiple agile technical teams within Corporate Technology.
The role provides technical coaching and advisory support while influencing budgets, technical designs, operational efficiency, and functionality.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to software engineers on daily tasks and activities.
- Set expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration.
- Lead responsible adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering and SDLC/TLM automation.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities to improve delivery speed, quality, and operational outcomes.
- Anticipate dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and team work according to compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and applied experience.
- Proven end-to-end delivery of data products using Python and/or Spark and Databricks.
- Experience building data-intensive software applications and managing technologists.
- Experience leading responsible adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and delivery tools.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, resiliency, security, and governance expectations.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems and practical cloud-native experience.
