The Sr.
Associate ensures data accuracy, assisting in developing GIS Solutions and collaborate with the team to ensure all data is converted properly and the system is up to date whilst coordinates addition of new requirements to allow full utilization of the system and to maintain quality.
General Responsibilities
- **Policy, Procedures, Process and Systems**
- Ensure the compliance of organization’s policy, systems, processes, procedures, and controls in line with group delegation of authority policy so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.
- **Reporting**
- Ensure that all reports are completed timely and comply with the business and Transco’s policies and standards.
- Manage the preparation of periodical management reports and progress reports to keep the business senior management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision-making.
- Comply with organization’s requirements in a timely manner.
Job Specific Responsibilities
- Performs advanced Spatial Analysis and Queries to support planning, asset management and decision making.
- Monitors and tracks data conversion and automation operations for new projects and daily activities of the Network, to ensure that data is maintained in GIS format as accurately as it is possible.
- Oversee follow up with various departments in different sites the routine collection of project information from planning to commissioning in order to incorporate into the GIS Database in a timely manner
- Lead data QA/ QC operations to ensure that data meet the standard specifications requirements.
- Ensure the availability of asset data to users in the best formats for easy access and review.
- Ensure timely and effective support to all end users on GIS applications, awareness and diffusion. Troubleshoots major applications, as required.
- Oversee the training of new GIS users in order to serve the daily business activities and streamline the workflow. Follows up on their progress with On Site support whenever it is required.
- Take part in the preparation and development of procedures and strategies that can enhance the usability of the system across the company.
- Check and monitors the editing works and generates performance reports.
- Review data gap analysis and Asset Information reconciliation with MAXIMO; resolves and manages outstanding issues.
- Performs Data Extractions and preparation in various formats with attention to details, quality control and data security
- Develop and implement a set of standards and specifications for the collection and maintenance of asset data.
- Assess user needs and analyze requirements to enhance system functionalities
- Assist in developing of GIS-Based tools and applications for visualizing, managing data and optimizing GIS utilization
- Review data gap with other Systems such as Single Line Diagram, DMS etc.
- Review data gap analysis to ensure connectivity model is accurate and up to date to serve purpose. Coordinate with related departments and GIS Editor/Surveyor to ensure completeness and accuracy of network connectivity
- Generate Asset reports, dashboards, maps and presentations using GIS as needed

- Apply established protocols for the use of GIS software and assist in access permissions as part of GIS established user access privileges
- Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the line manager, ensuring alignment with functional objectives and organizational priorities.

Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography or equivalent.
- 3 years of relevant working experience
- Strong expertise in ArcGIS ESRI
Desired Requirements
- Master’s degree in Geography or equivalent.
- 6 years of relevant working experience
- Electrical background
- Strong expertise in ArcGIS ESRI
