Experience and qualifications
- Required experience: 7–15 years.
- Minimum qualification listed as General Diploma or Bachelor of Technology (BTech).
- Knowledge areas include hazard identification and risk assessment.
Safety responsibilities
- Conduct JSAs for transformer installation, cable pulling, and switchyard gantry erection; identify and mitigate hazards.
- Manage and audit PTW authorization for energized or restricted areas; enforce LOTO before installation, maintenance, or testing.
- Check voltage suitability and inspection of tools, equipment, and PPE, including arc-rated clothing and insulated gloves.
- Verify temporary grounding and earthing; monitor excavation and trenching safety, shoring, and utility detection.
- Conduct safety inductions, lead daily high-risk activity toolbox talks, and investigate incidents and near misses using RCA.
- Define corrective and preventive actions to support continuous improvement in site safety performance.
