Qualifications and knowledge

Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed Job Safety Analyses for transformer installation, cable pulling, and switchyard gantry erection; identify and mitigate hazards.
- Manage and audit the Permit-to-Work system, ensuring personnel are authorized before entering energized or restricted areas.
- Enforce Lockout/Tagout procedures to ensure equipment is de-energized and safe for work.
- Oversee electrical safety compliance and inspect tools, equipment, and PPE against voltage requirements.
- Verify temporary grounding and earthing systems during construction.
- Monitor excavation and trenching for grounding grid installation, including shoring and utility detection.
- Conduct site-specific safety inductions and lead daily toolbox talks on high-risk activities.
- Investigate incidents and near misses using Root Cause Analysis; identify corrective and preventive actions to improve site safety.
