Job Description

--------------------

· Install, configure, upgrade, and manage Microsoft SQL Server databases.

· Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and stored procedures.

· Perform database backup, restoration, and disaster recovery activities.

· Ensure high availability through technologies such as Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Replication, and Clustering.

· Monitor database health, storage utilization, and capacity planning.

· Manage database security, user roles, permissions, and compliance requirements.

· Troubleshoot database-related incidents and performance bottlenecks.

· Execute database maintenance tasks, including index rebuilding, statistics updates, and integrity checks.

· Support application deployments, releases, and database migrations.

· Work closely with development teams to optimize database design and SQL queries.

· Create and maintain database documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures.

· Participate in on-call support and incident management activities.

Required skills

================

· Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019/2022.

· Experience in Performance Tuning and Query Optimization.

· Knowledge of SQL Server Backup and Recovery strategies.

· Hands-on experience with:

· SQL Server Agent

· SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio)

· Database Mirroring

· Replication

· Always On Availability Groups

· Log Shipping
