Position
Senior Electrical Engineer for construction and MEP building projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Requires 8–12 years of experience and valid ADDC registration or approval.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise electrical engineering works on building and MEP projects.
- Prepare, review, and approve designs, drawings, calculations, and technical submissions.
- Coordinate authority approvals, inspections, and NOCs with ADDC and other relevant authorities.
- Review shop drawings, load schedules, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment specifications.
- Ensure work complies with approved drawings, project specifications, and UAE standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and other MEP disciplines.
- Inspect sites and monitor installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Resolve technical and site-related electrical issues; review material submittals for specification compliance.
- Monitor progress, quality, and safety; prepare reports, method statements, inspection requests, and other project documents.
- Guide engineers, supervisors, and site teams; ensure timely completion against schedules.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience; UAE construction/MEP experience is preferred.
- Valid ADDC registration or approval is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of UAE electrical standards, ADDC requirements, and authority procedures.
- Experience in commercial, residential, high-rise, infrastructure, or other major building projects.
- Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, earthing, and ELV coordination.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; electrical design software knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
- UAE driving license is an advantage; immediate joiners are preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 7,000–9,000 per month.
