Role summary

Boomi integration projects

• Gather requirements from customers and trading partners and design complex X12 EDI applications and data integrations on Boomi.
• Translate business processes into technical integration requirements.
• Build integrations involving X12 EDI, REST APIs, databases, XML, JSON, flat files, and other standard protocols.
• Provide Boomi-on-Linux configuration, EDI setup, tuning, monitoring, error handling, and reusable components.
• Apply integration governance practices using Boomi AtomSphere and ERP systems including JDE and Dynamics 365.

Systems support

• Provide on- and off-hours support for integration issues affecting EDI, ERP, warehouse, BI reporting, and corporate applications.
• Support EDI and non-EDI trading partner integrations for orders, invoices, inventory, supply chain, manufacturing, financial, and HR processes.
• Resolve issues and make program changes with business users and IT teams.
• Document development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.

Administration and project support

• Establish and maintain security standards for encryption and data protection.
• Provide insight into programming trends, including AI; develop training and documentation.
• Evaluate technologies, contribute to systems strategy, improve programs, and design and implement test scenarios, cases, and scripts.
• Follow applicable QA, project management life cycle, and software delivery life cycle standards.

Minimum qualifications

• Two-year college education, applicable trade school, or commensurate work experience is required; four-year college is preferred.
• Seven or more years designing, developing, and testing medium- and large-scale Boomi integrations.
• At least 10 years of IT experience in a technical or software development capacity.
• Boomi certification is preferred.

Technical knowledge

• Expertise includes integration tools, middleware, iPaaS, integration patterns such as ESB and MOM, JMS, SOAP/REST web services, databases, ETL, and EDI.
• Practical experience with SOA design and technologies including messaging, XML, JSON, web services, and HTTP; Boomi is preferred in this qualification statement.
• Experience with cloud and SaaS technologies and general knowledge of CRM, SFA, ERP, and related business processes.

Travel

• Travel requirements are minimal, stated as less than 10%.
