Supports IT functions and services for American Airlines' three wholly owned American Eagle carriers.
Oversees IT initiatives and support activities aligned with regional IT business objectives.
Works across operational capabilities, technical risk, system performance, and customer and employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Connects application engineering, product management, and operations to support problem-solving and product quality.
- Monitors system performance and reliability, manages incidents and outages, and performs root cause analysis.
- Analyzes data to identify process improvements and inform IT operational decisions.
- Develops operational procedures and documentation.
- Coordinates software and hardware upgrades, deployments, and patches with engineering teams.
- Uses AI-driven tools to monitor, analyze, and optimize regional airline operations technology systems.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience or training.
- Experience supporting production environments in an IT software capacity and supporting customer or employee experience.
- Hands-on experience applying AI or machine-learning tools in a technology or engineering environment.
Preferred qualifications and skills
- Two or more years of software experience in a critical operational environment.
- Experience as an Operations Platform Analyst or in a similar IT or software development role.
- Three or more years of regional airline IT operations experience; proficiency with existing IT systems affecting American Eagle Airlines.
- AI skills and commitment to continuous learning, including maintaining applicable licenses or professional certifications.
- Understanding of American Airlines operational metrics; experience with DevOps and Agile.
- Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; accuracy, attention to detail, collaboration, and ability to work independently.
