Role Purpose
Plan and lead direct workshop work for an assigned division or brand.
Ensure customer needs and expectations are met through management of the Workshop Business Process.
Job Accountabilities
- Plan scheduled work and resources based on technicians' available knowledge and skills.
- Secure availability of tools, special equipment, parts, and workshop infrastructure.
- Monitor process deviations and improve processes when necessary.
- Set agendas and run daily planning and steering meetings.
- Propose improvements to the workshop offer, including local campaigns and service portfolio changes.
- Monitor workshop cleanliness, tidiness, and effectiveness.
- Select technicians, provide instructions, and discuss jobs to find customer solutions.
- Identify additional work, inform Service Advisors, and re-plan workshop operations as needed.
- Monitor delivery-time deviations and address rework, warranty matters, and continuous improvement in real time.
- Support technician work and ensure proper use of skills, equipment, procedures, and tools.
- Conduct quality control, review job cards, and complete final quality checks before vehicle handover.
- Supervise timekeeping and productivity and allocate tasks and responsibilities within action plans.
Education and Experience
- Technical degree in a related field.
- Three to five years of related experience.
