Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and review patients' medical histories and investigations.
• Develop anesthesia plans in coordination with surgical and medical teams.
• Administer and manage anesthesia according to patient condition and procedure.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes or complications.
• Manage airways and handle anesthesia-related emergencies and complications.
• Provide post-anesthesia care and ensure patient stability and safety.
• Maintain complete and accurate anesthesia and medical documentation.
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Follow clinical policies, infection-control standards, and patient-safety protocols.
• Participate in emergency and on-call duties when required.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medicine (MBBS/MD) or an equivalent recognized medical qualification.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification or specialization in Anesthesiology.
• Valid DHA license to practice as an Anesthesiologist in Dubai.
• Previous clinical experience as an Anesthesiologist in a hospital or accredited healthcare facility.
• Fluent Arabic speaking skills are required; good spoken and written English is specified.
• Strong communication, teamwork, emergency-management, patient-safety, ethics, and quality standards.
