Spa Receptionist

Role overview

Guest service and reservations

• Welcome guests warmly and provide information and literature about spa facilities and services in person and by telephone.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of spa treatments and facilities to answer inquiries accurately.
• Make reservations for spa treatments and personal training sessions, recording guest requirements and issues accurately.
• Provide spa tours when needed.

Facility and operational duties

• Restrict unauthorized entry to facility areas.
• Follow credit and cash-handling procedures and maintain inventory of supplies and retail products.
• Follow occupational health and safety regulations and the Hotels Code of Ethics.
• Report suspicious people, behavior, and vehicles to hotel security.

Qualifications

• Outstanding guest-service skills, professional presentation, and strong verbal and written communication are required.
• Candidates must be guest-oriented, enthusiastic, and able to assist people.
• English proficiency in speaking and writing is required; a second or third language is an asset.
• At least two years of experience in the spa industry or hospitality is required.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic accounting is required.
• Computer literacy in Windows, MS Office Suite, and Opera PMS is recommended.
