Sous Chef - Pastry & Bakery, Food and Beverage & Culinary; full-time, non-management position in Dubai.

Position summary and duties
- Supervise and coordinate cooks and workers; determine food presentation, create decorative displays, and ensure proper portions, arrangement, and garnishes.
- Monitor food quantities and inform Food & Beverage staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items.
- Prepare special meals or substitutes, assist cooks and kitchen staff, and provide needed items.
- Monitor food and kitchen-supply stock; maintain food-safety and food-product logs; ensure food quality and notify the manager of products that fail specifications.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
- Follow company and safety policies, report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions, and complete safety training.
- Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality, protect company assets, address guest needs, communicate clearly, and support positive team relationships.
- Meet quality standards and perform other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.
Preferred qualifications and experience
- 4 to 6 years of related work experience and at least 2 years of supervisory experience are listed.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- No license or certification is listed.
- The position includes physical activity such as extended standing, sitting, or walking; reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping; and moving objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
