Pastry and bakery operations
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate daily activities of the pastry and bakery team.
- Plan, prepare, and oversee pastries, breads, cakes, desserts, and specialty baked items.
- Monitor production levels, stock requirements, and food costs to meet operational needs.
- Ensure correct portioning, decoration, presentation, and compliance with company product specifications; take corrective action when needed.
- Coordinate with Food & Beverage teams on dessert specials and menu changes.
- Maintain food safety, kitchen hygiene, and production records.
Team and workplace duties
- Train, guide, motivate, and coach team members to maintain performance and consistency.
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
- Follow company and safety and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and complete safety training.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets; address guest service needs.
- Communicate professionally, maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond to colleagues’ concerns.
Preferred qualifications
- Related work experience of 4 to 6 years is listed as preferred.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience is listed as preferred.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is listed as preferred.
- No license or certification is listed.
