The team designs and delivers reliable, secure, stable, and scalable technology products.
Job responsibilities
- Execute software solution design, development, and technical troubleshooting; write secure, high-quality code with limited guidance.
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot while considering upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.
- Use software development lifecycle tools and automation to improve delivery; analyze data to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
- Apply system processes and methodologies to develop secure, stable code and systems.
- Use authorized AI coding tools for code, tests, troubleshooting, and documentation; validate outputs with peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
- Share learnings and reusable patterns to improve team effectiveness.
Required qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on Python and Java experience; experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database query languages.
- Experience across the software development lifecycle and exposure to agile practices such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Emerging knowledge of applications and technical processes in areas such as cloud, AI, machine learning, or mobile.
- Hands-on experience with authorized AI-assisted development tools and ability to critically evaluate and validate generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understand responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security; able to guide peers in safe use.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud technologies is preferred.
Development tools and practices
AI-assisted tools may support code generation or refactoring, unit test creation, and documentation; outputs must be validated through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
