Role overview

Responsibilities

• Build scalable Java backend services and modern frontend web applications.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate frontend interfaces with backend systems.
• Create responsive, accessible, and performant interfaces.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code and follow engineering best practices.
• Collaborate across Product, UX/UI, QA, and platform teams to turn user requirements into technical solutions.
• Take part in peer reviews and architecture discussions, address technical debt, support deployments, troubleshoot production issues, and drive improvement.

Requirements

• Three to six years of commercial full-stack software development experience.
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API design skills; gRPC is a plus.
• Hands-on JavaScript or TypeScript framework experience; React is preferred, and Vue.js or Angular experience is welcome.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, responsive UI design, frontend build tools, and package managers.
• Relational database experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, including SQL queries.
• Knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, data structures, algorithms, and full-stack testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Docker, Linux, CI/CD, and microservices.
• Awareness of secure coding, OWASP Top 10, XSS, CSRF prevention, and secure authentication or token management.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and collaboration skills.

Additional experience welcomed

• Good-to-have experience includes Java 17 and Spring WebFlux with Project Reactor, or Java 21+ Virtual Threads.
• Production experience with DynamoDB, TypeScript, Redux Toolkit, or Zustand is welcomed.
• Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, Storybook, or Figma is welcomed.
• Production experience with microservices, Redis, or Kafka is welcomed.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, AWS or GCP, observability tools, web accessibility, or web performance optimization is welcomed.
