The role translates business requirements into production-ready code and supports planning.
Intermediate engineers are expected to work independently and assist junior developers.
Key responsibilities
- Build application features and optimize and maintain existing codebases.
- Write clean, efficient code and review peer pull requests.
- Ensure services are monitored adequately.
- Research, design, and implement architectural decisions in production code.
- Diagnose bugs and technical limitations, deploy fixes, and join the production on-call rotation.
- Collaborate with product managers, QA testers, and stakeholders on requirements and project delivery.
- Guide junior developers and help colleagues resolve technical challenges.
Qualifications
- Strong software development and computer science fundamentals.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Back-end qualifications include strong relational database understanding, basic non-relational database knowledge, and hands-on cloud infrastructure experience.
