Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own backend systems, including services, APIs, data pipelines, and infrastructure.
- Solve challenges involving distributed systems, scaling, concurrency, and performance.
- Deploy, serve, and scale generative AI models in production, combining internal research and external capabilities.
- Instrument and experiment in production to improve system and product quality.
- Design and operate platform infrastructure, third-party integrations, storage systems, security, and internal APIs.
What makes a great fit
- At least 5 years of professional industry experience.
- Track record of shipping high-impact production systems and/or products.
- Strong problem-solving fundamentals, ability to learn, practical engineering judgment, and time-management skills.
- Able to operate in a fast-paced environment and scope and deliver projects end-to-end.
- Extensive experience with LLMs or generative media models is a plus.
- Startup founder or early-engineer experience is a plus.

Compensation
- Compensation range is $175,000–$300,000 per year.
