Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- The opening qualifications section specifies a minimum of 10 years’ experience in mechanical site supervision or engineering within construction.
- A later qualifications section specifies 6–8 years’ experience in mechanical site supervision or engineering within construction.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting design and installation standards.
- Experience reviewing mechanical shop drawings, submittals, and method statements.
- UAE experience is preferred in one qualifications section; KSA experience is preferred in another.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor mechanical system installation for compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Review contractor mechanical shop drawings, submittals, and method statements.
- Conduct site inspections and witness testing of mechanical installations and equipment.
- Identify and record non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions with the contractor.
- Coordinate with design teams to resolve mechanical technical queries and site issues.
- Support the review of contractor claims and variations relating to mechanical works.
- Prepare mechanical progress reports and inspection records.
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities for mechanical systems.
