Senior Landscape Architect

Construction supervision and site management

• Supervise hardscape, softscape, irrigation, water features, street furniture, and external works.
• Monitor contractors against approved drawings, specifications, authority requirements, and project standards; inspect sites and report quality, progress, and compliance issues.
• Review and approve landscape material submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and mock-ups.
• Coordinate construction sequencing with civil, utilities, architectural, and MEP disciplines; verify completed works and recommend progress-payment approvals.

Design compliance and coordination

• Ensure landscape installation follows the approved design intent.
• Review RFIs, technical queries, contractor proposals, and value-engineering alternatives while protecting design integrity and project objectives.
• Coordinate design clarifications with the design team, client, and stakeholders.

Quality assurance and technical review

• Inspect planting, irrigation, paving, site furniture, lighting interfaces, and other landscape elements for quality.
• Ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications and international best practices.
• Monitor plant selection, delivery, installation, and establishment; review irrigation-system and landscape-infrastructure testing and commissioning.

Project monitoring and reporting

• Track construction progress against schedules and identify potential delays or risks.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports covering site observations, quality assessments, and recommendations.
• Participate in project meetings, present landscape updates, and help resolve construction and technical issues.

Health, safety, and environmental compliance

• Ensure landscape works comply with project HSE requirements and local regulations.
• Promote safe working practices and participate in site safety inspections.
• Monitor contractor compliance with environmental protection and sustainability requirements.

Design delivery responsibilities

• Lead landscape design from concept through construction documentation and review drawings, specifications, and planting selections.
• Coordinate landscape design with architecture, MEP, and other disciplines; lead relevant authority submissions and approvals.
• Mentor landscape architects and support design quality reviews, value engineering, design innovation, technical proposals, and bid presentations.
• Represent the design team in client meetings and design reviews.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline; a master’s degree is an advantage.
• The description specifies a minimum 10–15 years in landscape architecture and construction supervision, and also 8–10 years in consultancy landscape design.
• Experience on large-scale masterplans, mixed-use, luxury residential, hospitality, public realm, or infrastructure projects.
• PMC, supervision consultant, or engineering consultancy experience; contractor management and on-site multidisciplinary coordination.
• Strong knowledge of landscape construction, planting design implementation, irrigation systems, and external works.
• UAE experience is preferred.

Technical skills and credentials

• Strong design, technical detailing, and project delivery skills; experience leading medium to large-scale landscape designs.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D visualization software.
• Professional-body registration or membership is preferred; landscape construction, project management, or sustainability certifications are advantageous.
