Amazon Compensation Technology is hiring a Software Development Manager to lead a team building employee compensation products and large-scale distributed systems.

Responsibilities
- Guide the team through design, architecture, development, documentation, testing, and operations across the software development lifecycle.
- Lead end-to-end ownership of full-stack software solutions and delivery of large-scale systems.
- Prioritize work, communicate clearly, and lead development of new platforms and solutions.
Basic qualifications
- At least 3 years of engineering team management experience.
- At least 7 years of engineering experience.
- At least 8 years leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
- Knowledge of full software, hardware, and network development lifecycle practices, including coding standards, reviews, source control, builds, testing, certification, and live-site operations.
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership about requirements, software features, technical designs, and product strategy.
- Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing software engineering teams.
Compensation
- The listed base salary range is CAD 171,400–286,200 annually for Vancouver, British Columbia. Additional compensation may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units.
