Supports AWS data center operations by maintaining logistics availability and reliable service levels.
Reviews inventory, inbound shipments, and demand to maintain stock for data center build and repair activities.
Logistics and inventory responsibilities
- Track inventory location, movement, age, and turns, and help optimize parts flow through their lifecycle.
- Fulfill parts requests from data center technicians and engineers quickly and accurately.
- Coordinate parts purchasing with Procurement and Hardware Engineering; process RMAs and replacements with vendors.
- Maintain regular vendor communication to resolve issues and align on business requirements.
Site operations and safety
- Assist with daily delivery and pickup scheduling and load or unload shipments.
- Adhere to site safety and security protocols while working with or around moving mechanical parts.
- Support an operation that runs 24/7.
Role requirements
- Willingness and ability to operate powered equipment, such as a forklift or cherry picker.
- Strong communication skills for vendor coordination.
- The role involves prolonged standing, sitting, and walking, as well as manual handling and lifting as required.
Workplace
- The position works in person at a site location.
