Software Applications Developer I

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain business applications, including upgrades and patch maintenance.
• Develop and maintain related applications and interfaces.
• Gather business requirements and document specifications for applications, reports, and interfaces.
• Remediate applications for WCAG and ADA accessibility compliance.
• Migrate and test applications moving from a .net domain to a .gov domain.
• Implement processes for application migration, testing, and support maintenance.
• Provide production support for applications, technical environments, and interfacing systems.
• Prioritize fixes and change orders and assign target completion dates.
• Follow application support and maintenance processes and operational guidelines.
• Perform root-cause analysis and follow through on development and production issues.
• Coordinate with staff and vendors on application support and issue resolution.
• Support 24x7 business operations and remain available onsite during business hours.

Required Qualifications

• A college degree is required, preferably in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• At least two years of applications development experience using C#, .NET, Java, or another object-oriented programming language is required.
• At least one year of hands-on SQL coding experience is required.
• Working knowledge of a relational database such as MS SQL Server or Oracle is required.
• Problem-solving, troubleshooting, organizational, multitasking, learning, and adaptation skills are required.
• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills are required.
• Off-hours support for production-related issues and successful completion of a background check are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure or work experience with Power BI, Crystal Reports, or Cognos is preferred.
• Exposure to web application packaging or containerization using Docker or Podman is preferred.

Workplace

• The position is onsite in Anaheim, California.
• The role supports 24x7 business operations and requires onsite availability during business hours.
