Role Overview
The AI Development team uses AI and machine-learning tools and platforms to drive business innovation.
The role evaluates emerging AI trends, runs proofs of concept, and builds applications and models for specific use cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate emerging AI trends, tools, and vendor solutions against business use cases.
- Run proofs of concept to test the feasibility of new ideas.
- Design and build applications and AI/ML models for predictive analytics, natural language processing, and computer vision.
- Create scalable AI pipelines that can be integrated into existing systems.
- Collaborate with data, engineering, and software development teams.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates should have knowledge and skills gained through coursework with some hands-on work experience.
- Python and SQL skills are required.
- Data visualization skills may use Power BI, Tableau, Streamlit, R Shiny, or Matplotlib.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns is required.
- Experience with unit testing, CI/CD, Git, and Docker-based containerization is required.
- Familiarity with data pipelines and ETL using Airflow, Prefect, or cloud-native equivalents is required.
- Understanding of model deployment, monitoring, and versioning is required.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI AI services is required.
- Experience with cloud-native training or inference environments is required.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and code assistance tools is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or class studies related to transportation and traffic analysis are preferred.

- The position is onsite in Austin, Texas.
