Job Purpose
Implement and monitor Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for steel structure construction projects.
Ensure construction activities, materials, workmanship, testing, and documentation comply with approved specifications, drawings, codes, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the project QA/QC Plan, Inspection & Test Plans, Method Statements, and Quality Procedures.
- Monitor quality of construction activities related to metal works and steel structures.
- Conduct inspections at various stages of construction and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with client, consultant, subcontractors, site engineers, and QC teams for inspection and testing.
- Ensure all construction materials are inspected and approved before use.
- Review Material Test Certificates, test reports, inspection reports, and quality records.
- Raise and close NCRs, observations, and quality-related issues.
- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and closed.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and prepare inspection requests, checklists, and quality reports.
- Maintain documentation and records for audits, inspections, testing, and project handover.
- Support internal, client, consultant, and third-party quality audits.
- Coordinate with the construction team to identify quality issues and implement preventive measures.

Experience and Competencies
- Relevant experience in QA/QC for steel structure projects.
- Strong understanding of steel structure processes and quality requirements.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contractual quality requirements.
- Ability to work effectively at project/site locations under tight project timelines.
Key Deliverables
Compliance with approved QA/QC procedures and project specifications.
Timely completion of MIR, WIR and closure of inspections, NCRs, and observations.
Accurate and complete quality documentation.
Effective monitoring of material and construction quality.
Successful completion of client/consultant inspections and quality audits.
Preparation of quality documentation required for project completion and handover.
