Site Civil Engineer

Role

Civil and MEP supervision

• Oversee daily civil and MEP maintenance across assigned sites, including masonry, carpentry, painting, plastering, concrete, waterproofing, and tiling.
• Supervise electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical work.
• Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.

Team and site coordination

• Lead multidisciplinary technicians, allocate work schedules, and ensure timely completion.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and on-site technician training.
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance checks; coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and team members.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site activity and progress reports and daily work allocations.
• Identify site issues and recommend technical solutions.

Safety, materials, and drawings

• Ensure compliance with UAE health and safety regulations and company and client quality standards.
• Maintain inspection, material, and manpower documentation.
• Determine material requirements, support procurement, manage inventory, and oversee tools and equipment use.
• Verify work completion and material quantities; assist with BOQs, estimates, and cost proposals.
• Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings; update drawings and prepare as-built layouts using AutoCAD.
• Ensure technicians and contractors execute work according to drawings and specifications.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with UAE equivalency is mandatory.
• At least 4 years of UAE experience in a construction company with a maintenance background.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems.
• AutoCAD is listed as mandatory in the qualifications; the application experience question lists one year as preferred.
• Proficiency in BOQ preparation, estimation, and material take-offs; one year of BOQ experience is listed as required.
• Four years of experience managing and supervising civil and MEP technicians is required.
• Good knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and a valid UAE driving license are required.
• Strong communication, reporting, coordination, leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management skills.
