SHORING ENGINEER

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Reviews approved shoring designs, drawings, calculations, specifications, method statements, risk assessments, inspection requests, and technical submissions.
• Monitors excavation stability, ground movement, settlement, lateral displacement, and nearby structures; ensures safe excavation sequences.
• Coordinates dewatering and groundwater control where required, and works with engineers, consultants, surveyors, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Conducts inspections, maintains quality and safety requirements, and provides engineering solutions to site issues.
• Maintains inspection, measurement, progress, and technical records; reports progress to the Project Manager and management.
• Coordinates to maintain the project schedule and comply with UAE regulations, project requirements, and HSE standards.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Geotechnical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant shoring, excavation, or temporary works experience.
• Strong knowledge of shoring systems, soil conditions, excavation stability, and dewatering.
• Ability to read and review engineering drawings, calculations, and method statements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; other relevant engineering or design software is advantageous.
• Knowledge of UAE construction standards and HSE requirements; strong coordination, site supervision, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

Relevant experience and preferences

• Experience with secant piles, contiguous piles, sheet piles, soldier piles, strutting, ground anchors, and shotcrete.
• UAE construction experience is preferred; a UAE driving license is advantageous.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.

Compensation

• Pay starts at AED 5,000 per month.

• Full-time role; work location is in person.
