Job purpose
Serve and clear food and beverage items professionally and unobtrusively while supporting hotel service standards.
Service and guest care
- Prepare and maintain tables, trays, and service trolleys according to hotel standards.
- Coordinate between kitchen and service areas, and work with chefs and the wider Food & Beverage team.
- Know food and beverage offerings, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Respond to guest requests and handle complaints professionally according to hotel standards.
- Promote a positive guest experience and identify upselling opportunities.
Outlet operations
- Support opening and closing procedures and ensure the outlet is ready for service.
- Monitor equipment use and maintain appropriate stocks of food, beverages, and service equipment.
- Maintain inventories and par stocks for smooth daily operations.
- Support other hotel outlets and departments when required.
- Complete closing duties using the standard checklist.
Qualifications and experience
- At least 2 years of Food & Beverage experience in a 5-star international hotel environment.
- Strong guest service skills, a positive and professional attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A Hotel School degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Upselling, HACCP, and/or WSET Level 1 training is an advantage.
Language and systems
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Knowledge of MICROS or a similar POS system.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
