The role supports pastry production across restaurants, breakfast, buffets, banquets, coffee breaks, and events.
Responsibilities
- Produce pastries for daily hotel operations, breakfast, buffets, banquets, events, functions, coffee breaks, meetings, and conferences.
- Prepare and present pastries, cakes, desserts, and other pastry products to consistent quality, portioning, and presentation standards.
- Maintain mise en place, workstation readiness, preparation specifications, and product-quality checks; report discrepancies.
- Support buffet and event decoration and presentation.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards and support wastage and cost control.
- Coordinate daily needs with the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, and other kitchen sections.
Requirements
- Three to five years of total culinary experience and at least three years in a similar pastry Chef de Partie role at a 5-star international hotel.
- Proven high-volume pastry production experience and strong exposure to breakfast, buffets, banquets, coffee breaks, and events.
- Ability to maintain quality and consistency while working at pace; good knowledge of pastry products, preparation, and presentation.
- Strong understanding of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Good spoken and written English; organized, reliable, and effective in a multicultural team.
- Culinary qualification or equivalent professional experience.
