Senior Test Equipment Engineer

The Structural Test Engineer is responsible for structural testing and validation of a UAV platform, ensuring the airframe and supporting structures meet performance, safety, and durability standards.
The role works closely with design, integration, and flight test teams to ensure structural elements meet specifications.
Responsibilities
- Conduct structural testing of UAV components, including static, dynamic, and fatigue testing.
- Design tests, plan and execute testing, and design test setups and equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams; investigate failures and perform root cause analysis.
- Conduct structural analysis and reporting; comply with standards and regulations; support continuous improvement.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5–7 years of structural testing experience focused on aerospace, UAV, or defense systems.
Preferred skills
- Knowledge of static, dynamic, and fatigue testing and test setup design.
- Proficiency with structural test equipment such as load cells, strain gauges, test rigs, and vibration testing equipment.
- Familiarity with ANSYS, NASTRAN, or Abaqus and interpreting structural test results against design requirements.
- Familiarity with Simcenter Testlab and comparing modal test results with FEM results; familiarity with SolidWorks.
- Experience with data acquisition systems and analysis tools such as LabVIEW, MATLAB, or similar software.
