Senior Technical Proposal Manager

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead proposal development and submissions in response to client requests.
• Coordinate with technical, sales, and management teams to craft proposals.
• Review requirements for compliance with guidelines and specifications.
• Manage timelines and milestones for timely submission.
• Guide writers, subject matter experts, and graphic designers.
• Develop templates, tools, and process best practices.
• Gather case studies, references, and technical documentation from internal stakeholders.
• Handle client proposal inquiries and clarifications.
• Review submissions and conduct debriefs to improve future proposals.
• Report activities, outcomes, and pipeline status to senior management.

Experience and education

• Minimum 8 years of work experience, including 5 years in a relevant supervisory position.
• Two years of GCC experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.

Knowledge and skills

• Advanced technical proposal skills, including scope definition, resource planning, and budgeting.
• Project management and cross-functional team leadership skills.
• Communication and presentation skills for complex technical information.
• Knowledge of industry standards and proposal development best practices.
• Ability to analyze RFPs and RFIs and tailor proposals to client requirements.
• ERP knowledge is required; SAP functional skills are preferred.
• Competencies include project estimating, proposal management, cost management, bid documents, and document control.
