Advise and coordinate contracts, planning, and property control activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, patient service, and safety.
Improve sourcing by analyzing health affairs spending, supplier partnerships, and new opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Review and update sourcing practices for changing policies, standards, regulations, and laws.
- Develop sourcing and category management strategies; optimize procedures and create new sourcing methods.
- Analyze procurement costs, recommend expenditure reductions, and conduct cost, scenario, and benchmarking analyses.
- Develop negotiation strategies, secure favorable deals, and supervise supplier price negotiations.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on supplier terms and processes; research shifts in suppliers’ negotiating power.
- Assess risks and apply risk-minimizing techniques; identify trustworthy vendors and support supplier relationships.
- Determine delivery quantities and timing, and review requests for quotes.
- Promote patient-centered care and participate in quality improvement and patient safety activities.
- Perform other assigned job-related duties.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
- 12 years of Supply Chain Management experience.
- At least 8 years in a leadership administrative role in a healthcare setting.
