Role overview
The Telecom Commissioning Supervisor oversees pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, and handover of telecommunications systems in oil and gas facilities.
The role ensures systems meet project specifications, safety standards, and client requirements, coordinating with Engineering, Construction, vendors, and client representatives.
Commissioning systems
- Supervise commissioning of PAGA, CCTV surveillance, IP and analog telephones, UHF TETRA radio, structured cabling, LAN/WAN, access control, GSM signal enhancement, and fiber optic systems.
- Execute approved commissioning procedures and risk assessments, and ensure adherence to HSE procedures and site permit-to-work systems.
- Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, and other disciplines during Site Acceptance Tests, integration, and commissioning.
Testing and handover
- Participate in system walk-downs, functional testing, loop checks, energization, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain daily activity, testing progress, and issue-resolution records; manage and close punch-list items with clients, vendors, and construction teams.
- Support final handover and ensure as-built documentation and test records are completed and submitted.
