Senior Engineer – Commissioning, Instrumentation, leading the instrument commissioning team and providing technical guidance to engineers.
Commissioning delivery
- Identify scope and requirements from project specifications, drawings, contractual documents, and other project materials.
- Assess commissioning workload, resources, constraints, risks, and costs; provide inputs to bid-stage proposals.
- Monitor field progress and quality; verify construction completion and establish safety procedures before commissioning.
- Lead subcontractors and ensure commissioning is completed safely and in line with the schedule.
- Lead instrument SAT, loop testing, and functional testing; resolve issues involving DCS, ESD, HIPPS, AMS, and OPC communications.
- Coordinate with clients, commissioning and discipline teams, supervisors, subcontractors, and QA/QC; attend progress and risk meetings.
- Support quality procedures and audits, and report design failures or discrepancies as lessons learned.
Role requirements
- Strong engineering background in instrument field devices and control systems.
- Ability to guide engineers, review project and contractual documents, perform Job Safety Analysis and toolbox talks, and lead subcontractors safely.
