Senior Structural Designer (Offshore)

Role overview

Roles and responsibilities

• Prepare structural engineering drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D and ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and company specifications.
• Coordinate interface requirements with other disciplines, review their IDC drawings, and support development of interface drawings.
• Prepare material take-offs from design drawings and potentially visit project sites to conduct surveys.
• Self-check and review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and clarity before formal submission.
• Manage and update drawing files, documentation, and project data in the company document management system.

Experience and education

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in oil and gas structural design and drafting.
• Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD 3D; expert-level proficiency is typically mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of structural design and drafting, including slot additions, deck extensions, access platforms, risers, J-tubes and clamps, pipe supports, lifting arrangements, jackets, and topsides.
• Constructability awareness, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and good English communication skills.

Tools and competencies

• Excellent use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Navisworks.
